| | | Final Round Victorian Titles October 4th 2009
Hope to see all Victorian and interstate riders down at Warrnambool October 4th for the third round of the Victorian Titles.
Not sure if I will be able to make it due to my injuries, but I will make it if I can.
This the first MA sanctioned race in Victoria, so be famous.
Below is a post by Hippy, one of SWMMC committee members.
Bit of a shame that the SA Title clashes with your dates up there so you wont be able to steal any titles from the SA boys!! But the good news is that you will be able to take home the silverware from those bloody Victorians on Oct 4th!!
Not only is it our big meeting for the year but it is also the last round of the Victorian titles!! Being the last round it's going to be a double points round which means that just about all classes will be up for grabs. You have heard how good that the SWMMC track at Warrnambool is I think its about time that you got down here for a crack!!
If that isnt enough I am ordering the trophys this week so I will make sure the the St/Watercooled trophy is a cup so we can experience your exceptance speech and ritual skulling of beer!! But wait theres more if you can make it down for the festivities I will bring my standard banshee so we can race for the cup, and if we're lucky enough it win one each we can have a skulling race and whoever gets the bigger cup they were obviously the winner on the track so thats the handycap for the cup race!!

Sunday is the fourth, eh? Hmm....Tempted.
Very tempted. Will you SWMMC guys have both chinky and euro classes on the day?
Claw, itching to high-side again
Edit: F$%k it, I'm there, dudes!
Edit #2 : Hang on second, if anyone will be sculling beer from a championship cup, it will be ME. I think i'm the one, especially in STD W/C. Seeing as is did it in Adelaide, i will do it in Warnabool aswell. Look out Hippy!

Letter from Hippy,
Southwest Minimoto Club has come of age. After 5 years of practicing, we at the SWMMC have decided
to go racing for real!!! SWMMC are running our first official, motorcycle Australia Race Day on Sunday
4th October. Not only is it our first official race day it’s the last round of the Victorian titles!!!
Which means it will be a double points round with two extra classes added midis/r1’s 50cc 2 stroke
110cc 4 stroke (Just for you boys in SA…you know you want it!) And for the old weight challenged
individuals we have the fat 50’s (which will be the hottest contested class of the day)
Being Double points for the 3rd and last round means all you boys from NSW and SA have a good chance
to not only take out the round but also the overall series. Now tell me boys and girls, How good would it
be to take a state plate away from a Victorian? How much more motivation does and interstate rider
need?
Now for all you cats and kittens looking for a room, our good friends from Gateway Motor Inn can help.
Its located only 5 mins from the track and if you let them know you are coming to race they will set you
up with a family room for $120.00 (normally $159) and for a double or twin room normally $119.00 but
if you tell them how cool Hippy is it will only cost you $96.00. And there is plenty of room for trailers.
And all you dudes looking for the cheapest pub room in Australia, our club sponsors at the Victorian
Hotel will hook you up with a room for $25 per person.
For all you groovers that already have a MA license you will need to upgrade to a race license before
race day. Just get in contact with the hugs and kisses…I mean our secretary Laurisa and she will set you
straight (like she has been trying to do to me for years) And for you poor souls that don’t have any form
of MA License don’t be alarmed there will be day licenses available.
Oh! And I nearly forgot to mention, for tho’s that like to pitch a tent or grab a cabin. The Hopkins River
Caravan Park is a few hundred metres back to Warrnambool from the speedway. Ph 03 55651327
So come one come all to what is going to be a great day of racing, story telling and the traditional tasty
beverage after all is said and done.
Can’t wait to see you all on the track
Cheers Hippy

why have you gone the MA route ? i have a full senior MA license that is already minimoto endorsed, from my experience with racing bigger bikes a day license is around $50 for a day license, also as we run under MA rules the bikes will have to be run to there standards so you will all have to run a overflow bottle of the vents on your carbs, has the track been MA inspected as yet ? also have you had permission from the local police as these are all things that MA require.
The track at wcr is fully MA inspected & approved & we run to there safety gear requirements but we don't use there insurance we use Promoto / Prokart policy which makes it easier.

Hi 74
NSW I'm pretty sure is the only state that has the requirements you stated..In SA we don't need to have police check the track..So long as it is a AKA approved track MA here in SA can run on it.
I think in Victoria it's the same.

So we have to look at ways we can get insurance and run a race meeting.
MA is an easy way of getting a track by use of their insurance.
Also remember MA is the largest two wheel organisation in Australia.
To answer your other questions:
All minimoto racing should run under MA or simular safety rules, (as Promote also runs simular safety rules) all is better for the rider. They both have rider insurance.
With inspection of the track, here in Victoria a MA rep of the club can inspect the track, while following MA's guide lines.
And the police have no call at any of the tracks or race meetings we hold.

Without MA, WesternAus wouldn't have anything like it does now.
Thankyou MA!
