Cool Over 40's standard cag racing

Hi to all
I have had a suggestion from a few of the SAMRA members that we have an over 40's standard cag race class. I think this is a terrific idea and will be running this class at the next social race meet.
One thing I ask for this class is please keep the bikes stock standard as they come out of the box.
No removal of metal from the motor.
Tyres can be open.
Exhaust to be either fat boy, jet pro wave pipe or standard.
Carby to be standard or SHA 14/14 Delorto rep ,no greater venturi than 15.2mm

You all may wonder why I have opted for open tyres in this class but as it is for over 40's well..... we don't bounce as well as some of you younger riders and I would like to try and make this class a bit more safer for all of us older riders.
I have found in the past that the Zhonga tyres don't take our weight well at all and tend to slide out fairly easily.
If you have any queries regarding this class feel free to comment on this thread or contact me.

Sounds like a good idea, except pmt's go against the spirit of cag racing and i think kenny should probably change his back after the titles. Perhaps Sava C compounds would be a good control tyre

Thanks wbr ...sounds good to me. I talked to rover about this on the weekend after visiting and chatting with JWS. I think its a great idea as it can give the parents something to do as well instead of just watching, mite bring more into the sport. Also I have ordered a bike for this class, so ya will see me crash after all (darn Chinese brakes LOL )

Oh yeah my friend who just bought a bike for his kid, said he will ride now that we have this class. And someone else said they will ride in it as well, but will leave that as a surprise

Thanks Captain Grumpy
I must however give the credit to Ronin and JSW pocket bikes for this idea.
This will be a big field of riders this class and I am hoping that John Dwyer aged 63 will be out there too along with the usual mob of ratbags LOL
GrayzWun I will keep you posted on how this one goes..thanks for the encouragement.

a few wooden spoon novelty awards would be in order to keep with the aussie spirit of putting ya M8's down when ya beat them
something like slowest old poke ?
worst rider ?
grayest rider?
most immature ?
or anything worse that comes to mind
