Lightbulb Starting club in Mackay?

Is anyone interested in starting a race club in Mackay Qld. I spoke to the local kart club president and he said if I could get a club together with our own insurance they would take it to a club meeting to consider if it would be viable to allow pocket bike racing at their track.

This is a great idea. If you get some numbers together you can run under MA. If you do this the kart club should be fine with it.
If you need any info I can put you in contact with someone that can give you the info you need to get it up and running.
We have MA tracks in Ipswich, Bundaberg and Gladstone. Rockhampton is also on the cards in the future.
The kart club will benifit from minimoto being at their track. They make a bit of money from nomination fees and also they can claim grants because it is then a multi use facility.
Do all you can to get it happening. Put an advert in your local paper looking for members, you can also put signs up on a community notice board etc etc.
PM me if you need any info.

Please let me know how things are progressing. I'm up in Airlie Beach and there are a few of us that race around, but a proper track etc would be great. Thanks.

There is also private insurance that the MMMCI has that is much less expensive than MA.
