Ride in Brisbane 17th June?

I'll be in Brisbane on Friday the 17th of June, can I go riding at Archerfield or Parklands (or any track at all?) I just want to ride around and have some fun, not interested in entering a race, although if I have to enter a race to be able to ride I will do it. I'll be staying in Brighton, does it take long to get to Archerfield from there? I'm assuming the racing is at Archerfield Speed Karts which I have been to once years ago, is that correct?

What about Parklands? What is Parklands, is it the name of a suburb or what, how will I find it?

I cant ride on the Saturday or Sunday as I'll be at a wedding/coming home in that order 8)

Cheers,
Ash

Bump.

Comeone Brisbane peoples, someone must know? I've worked out that Parklands is on the Gold Coast so that's out anyway, but what about Archerfield?

Parklands is at the Parklands Showgrounds. Take the Smith St Mwy exit (look for the sign for Seaworld) off the Pacific Hwy. About 35-40 mins south of Brissie. You can call them to find out when you could ride on (07)55270060.
Archerfield is in Colebard St (west) at Archerfield. Its next to the speedway and borders onto Archerfield Airport. Don't have their phone number at the mo but I'll find out for you this weekend.
If you like I can e-mail you the street maps of the areas if you haven't got a directory for Brisbane/Gold Coast.
Hope this helps mate.

Matt.

Cheers Matt, that does help I'll probably have to give Parklands a miss given time constraints on my visit. Got a UDB or UBD whatever they call it (or maybe it's a Refedex, whatever!), plus my sister lives in Brighton so I'll make her drive me  I contacted Archerfield Speed Karts who put me onto Archerfield Speedway as apparently it's the old kart track (didn't know there was a new one) and they put me onto Prodirt in Ipswich who apparently organise the whole show. I've emailed prodirt but no reply yet. I'm reluctant to call them cause it's easier to sound like a twat via email

Cheers,
Ash

All good, let me know what the outcome is. Depending on when you go I might see you there.
