Archerfield 1st race meet today 1/5

Well what a blast today was!!!!!

The day started off a bit behing schedule with a few teething problems (I'm sure these'll improve as the weeks progress) but once everyone was organised we got in 5 races instead of the planned 3!!!!

My bike got better and better each race and was happy to pick up 6th in the senior mens aircooled hopefully next time after some more tinkering I can pick up a podium

My only issue with the day was that every race was too short (only 5 laps), you'd no sooner sus a rider out and figure out where to pass them then the race was over maybe in future a 8 or a 10 lap race could be the go.

Anyways I'd better go lie down, am very sore from a days racing. A big two thumbs up to the guys from pro-dirt for a great day!!!!!!

and I'll see you all out there not next weekend (there is racing but I'm doing the motheres day thing with the family) but the week after!!!!

cheers again, drew

ps - thanks to the guys that gave me a few tips today (pitcrew, tim and a few others who I can't remember sorry  ) that's one of the things I love about these things - getting out and meeting new people

It was a great day, with a mix of some Parklands regulars and some newbie riders.

I guess about 50 entries all up including the Mini Super-Motards, with all classes catered for though some were grouped due to small entry numbers.

As with Parklands, I'm sure the fields will grow quickly and the organizing will get smoother. However yesterday they managed to run 40 races in less than 4 hours (including a half hour lunch break) which is a top effort

Ryan, there are 2 small sections of the track with a tall tyre wall for safety reasons. The rest is open with plenty of room to slide to a stop. A lot less solid walls than Parklands 8). Considering the number of laps done and the close racing in several quarters, there were bugger-all offs and no injuries.

It was great to meet some more of the forum members too. We'll certainly be back there next week.

Hey guys,
Just wondering when the next race will be? Also what kind of bikes do the Juniors AC ride. I'm getting a Lucky 7 in about a week, hoping to do a few upgrades (Rocket Key, Reed, and maby after a month or so an exaust, just wondering if after i can ride the thing alright it would even have a chance of keeping up with any of the other Juniors bikes? Thanks guys
