If anyone is able to give me a rough idea what i will be looking at for a pocket bike motor that will be one really fast sucker that would be great? I have already got a frame and all just need everything but frame lol.
I want to get back into the racing i stopped once my bike died and just never got it fixed but i want to race now and i got all the safty gear to. So if anyone can give me some help that would be awsome thanks and chat later

Usually there is only something piddly wrong with your motor <blocked carby, stuffed reeds> unless it went bang. A new motor shouldn't cost more than $150 and a really fast sucker shouldn't cost more than $200. Unless its watercooled in which case expect a lot more

Search through the classified section, i'm sure you'll find something in the last six months that will still be available if you PM the poster.

My cag motor has about $500 of parts put into it, to be fairly competitive against some of australia's quicker cags (no expensive pbu crap either)... goodluck getting a really quick one for $200

forget about nos. just dont even think about it.... (for starters, nos isnt permitted for racing purposes...not to mention the problems that will happen from using it)

$250-$300 will get u a new chinese pro cag motor from a few different oz sellers. pocketbikeparts.com.au have one for around $250

Thumbs up

these pro cags are deffinatly got me interested . To be honest i got into the pocket bike scene in NSW a little late and i havent even seen a CAG go . Let alone a fast one . For 500 bucks on a race prep motor it must make for some ACE racing. Ive only ever seen W/C races and the differences between the motors in W/C can be a difference of up to 6hp. i dont know if a CAG motor could be built to have such an advatage so i imagine it'll be some close racing.
