Melbourne Pocket Bike Club Announcement

Last nite there as an informal meeting to discuss the future of PBR in Victoria, Ozminimoto P/L, GPTC, Carter Racing,Viperformance all had input into the rules and classes and format for 2006.

It was agreed that the rules as to be posted by Ozminimoto today are firm and agreed upon. The GPTC has confirmed it will rent the track out at a fixed rate as long as we can advise dates and confirm bookings.

In doing so we decided as a GROUP to form the

MELBOURNE POCKET BIKE RACING CLUB

Membership Forms will be available from all RETAILERS and available to download online.

This is basically how it will run;

1. Each Month there will be 1 or 2 Race meets depending on whether other Victorian tracks hold their own meet.
2. A Leader Board will be Posted according to classes, you will be allocated points for each meet you attend and the races you win, this will be updated weekly and also displayed at the venue and online.
3. Each race meet will be considered a CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP and winners will be asked to come forward stand on the 1,2,3 Podium and awarded TROPHIES rather than medallions and participate in photo's.
4. Each meet the winners will be posted on the forum, and published on the the CLUB Letter which will be circulated to members that are financial and general public.
5. Once a Year a " VICTORIAN TITLES" will be held and the top 10 riders in each class will be INVITED to compete for THE VICTORIAN TITLES.
6. Once a Year we will work in conjunction with EACH STATE and hold a RECOGNIZED NATIONAL EVENT, each association will be asked to contribute in Publishing the Winners and a Brief in a Large Circulation magazine which will create curiosity

(a) You will be allowed to miss 2 x Championship races without losing points, this will cater for unpredictable circumstances and applies to everyone.
(b) The points are NOT transferrable to other TEAM MEMBERS.
(c) To Be Crowned the VIC CHAMPION you must compete in the TITLES EVENT.

COSTS

It was agreed a membership of $55.00 p.a was fair, this will give you access to News Letters, and Official Membership Card and discounts to Retail Products at selected Dealers. It will also reduce the Track Fee from $35.00 per meet to $25.00 per meet for members.

Non Members will be encouraged to race and will have access to Hire Bikes supplied by Pocket Racing Bikes at their nominated rate, TEAMS are encouraged to forward this option to newbies.

The consensus at the meeting was that it is imperative that a UNITED effort is made to propel VIC RACING at the same speed as QLD, please understand there will be many more venues to race at next year.

At present we have negotiated the TITLES EVENT to be held at Calder Park, Rider M/C Training are excited to be a part of this, we are just seeking confirmation from Calder Management as to available dates.
