Parklands got it right

I think it was pretty good last night. They ran a tight schedule and kept things moving. Was all over by about 9.45.

The idiot that punted me down the road had a big off himself a couple of laps later and smashed his bike to bits.

A lot of us, Bung, Ryan and myself and a few others were riding with our heads. Too bad there's always a small group of morons that don't have an ounce of racecraft.

There were 36 juniors entered who were split into two groups and the most entries overall to date. 124 I believe.
As Ryan said, there were no real injuries, which is a bit of a surprise, considering the tight nature of the track and the ever growing numbers.

All in all though, we had a good time and I still ended up about nineth.

I have to agree with you guys. Last night ran smoothly, no delays and lots of good racing with big field. Well done Pocketracer and all the volunteers.

Our motley crew did pretty good with Steph winning Ladies, Phil getting his first podium with a 3rd in Juniors and Craig with a podium first in Senior Lights with a 3rd place as well. Bung and Trev on his new PR50 battled each other all night back in the SL field and everyone came away unhurt and smiling

Bad news about Krystals collar but hopefully she's on the mend and back out there soon.

The Juniors were graded for their 2 finals, with the top 10 from each of the series of heats running the A-main, the balance from each heat running in the B-main.

i still wanna know how trev made his bike 4 foot wide , would have hosed his *** if i couldve got around him hahahahaand when i finally did get around him, i didnt have enough out of the corners and he took me again
was a great challenge throughout the race and had an absolute ball, best of all, for once, i didnt come off, thank christ, i was shitting myself alnight , even before we got there that something bad was gonna happen
turns out i was right. but it didnt happen to me , it happened to krystal, big off with a broken collarbone as a result
she is still keen as to race so we wil see how she is in a couple weeks when racing starts again, but she probably wont be back on for atleast 6 weeks

I think the track needs to be resurfaced..therefore we can go harder into the corners without worrying about comin off on a bump..

While the numbers grow and people keep on coming, I doubt whether the track will ever receive attention. It'll take something like litigation against
Parklands as the result of personal injury sustained from a fall involving
the cattle grids sprinkled around the track. It's only a matter of time.

I haven't seen a black flag yet, but there is a push toward enforcing rules (much needed).

It was good to see Geoff pulling guys up who were not wearing Goggles or Visors and letting them know the need for same.

In driver briefing this week, it was clearly pointed out that jumping positions in the roll-around lap prior to the start would incur the offender a Rear of Field penalty. A good move as this was becoming a game with some riders, gaining up to several positions well before the green light. No one was sent ROF as it seemed all riders got the message at the briefing.
