Had a good ready of prohibited items and size rules. I think it can be done.
Remove the fuel tank and carby and give it flush out with hot soapy water so remove the fuel smell and throw away the fuel line, deflate the tyres, tuck the handle bars and foot pegs in and I think you wil make it through check-in. But just need to make sure the tank and carby are completly clean and not contaminated with anything and all should be good.
When the bike arrives all you have to do is straighten everything up and pump up the tyres.
The return trip could be interesting though. It might cost a new fuel tank or remove it and send it by post home and some new fuel lines.
But I will make a call in the coming days to Jetstar and virgin to see if it is at all possible. They do take motorised scooters and push bikes no problem.
