rumor has it

Ok guys this is the latest rumor to hit my ears

1. Archefield kart track will be opening the gates to pocket bikes only in about a mth the karts have all gone to Willowbank and the new people have leased the kart track so here is hoping that all comes out well on this one

2. There is a group of guys that have purchased some acreage at Parkridge and have submitted plans to the council for a pocket bike track so there is a lot of hope for anyone on the south side to go elsewhere instead of just parklands

Hopefully Parklands and the new tracks can work out some sort of compromise and have a mini gp between all the tracks would be fun racing on a different track every week even if it was only once a mth

Will keep you posted on any more info that comes my way

yeah I heard a similar rumour from the guys who ran the day at archerfield the other sunday.

from what I gather though seq minimoto club (the guys who put on archerfield) already race at a few tracks and hope to add archerfield to their list around once a month. the other tracks they use are one out helidon way, parklands and supposedly going to use a track being built buy some guy with tonnes of land???? (matches what you've heard - it's supposedly going to be a mini phillip island  )

I hope archerfield gets up and running more often as I live just down the road from it - and seeing as it is otherwise unused it is very tempting to go ride their but as a member of the minimoto club you CANNOT ride there at the moment unless at a club day (noone can at anytime anyway, riding there = tresspass  ) but apparently if you're caught riding there and are a member they kick you out of the club

ps - I'm fairly sure that the lease at the cart track is now held by pro-dirt and as they have a few guys that work for them that race down at parklands (and they sell pb's too) is where the idea of opening it up to bikes on a regular basis comes from. at the moment they only use it for parking when there are things on at the speedway as they race there too.

i also heard that there is a track out the back of munrooben, just down the road from park ridge, possibly the same one

i went on a ride day a few months ago now and met a heap of bikes at the hyperdome carpark
there was a young bloke there with a pocketbike who said they had a bitumen track and about 20 guys race out there
it was my first experience with a pocketbike so i didnt think to ask where it was
spewing about that now

but yeah.......would be awesome to race at a different venue each week
