Hey guys i have just bought a pocket bike. i am 15 and i am looking for places to ride it legally. i see photos of the event at archerfield but that looks like its all pros and u need pro gear and ****. is there anywhere i can just go wif my mates and have some fun without having to get all this protective stuff and thrashing my bike by racing it??? thanks

hey mate, welcome to the forum, Im also 15 and race at archerfield..

Its a good track and by all means its not just for pros!

we have a novice class which you could race in, its for juniors who are just learning..

Also every saturday there is practice at archerfield, just come out and pay 20 bucks and you can ride at your own speed getting the feel for the track and having a bit of fun..

all you need is gloves, helmet and knee and elbow pads..

A helmet will only set you back about $100 and gloves are 20 bucks or something and if you go to kmart you can get a set of skate board knee and elbow pads for 10 bucks i think..

and just wear enclosed shoes and jumper and jeans and you should be sweet,

good work for wanting to ride it legally instead of riding it around the streets!

Lakeside Park..

At Dakabin in Nth Brisbane..

Massive track, paramedics, huge fun, etc etc etc..

ohk TyD thanks for that is every week or like every second???
that shouldnt be a problem gettin that stuff. i just didnt want to go and thrash it if you had to race and that. just wanna cruise and have some fun. ill be there.
yeah thanks i dont wanna get in troubel by cops cause my parent just only let me cause i found somehwere to ride em legally.

Yeah GLEN it looks like great fun at lakeside. do you know roughly how far it is from brisbane city?

lakeside is a good track and all with the medics and all, but if you get want some fun with your mates practice at archerfield would suit you well!

and practice is every weekend and racing is every second, i recommended practice days until you get use to riding, hope to see you there..

ohk sweet so archerfield. so dont come on race days are you saying?? are they the sundays or still saturdays?? where can i get the dates for these events??

not saying dont come on race days, just i found I had more coffidence when i had a bit of practice behind me before I started racing..

every saturday = practice days
every 2nd sunday = race days

racing was yesterday so 2 weeks from then will be the next race meet..
