South Morang

Well I got to say to anybody thinking of going to THE TRACK do it. I went on Sunday and had a ball! The people that work there are great. $35 was all I needed to ride my own bike with my own gear, ALL DAY. They have drinks and food. They also hire go-karts and pocket bike which is ace, next time I go I can go on the karts with my missus.
Besides my blata rep shaking like a idiot, breaking a clutch shoe and to top it off, breaking a brand new chain after about 35mins riding, and I better add a brilliant stack on the bottom corner b4 the straight (and I got it on video) the track was tops.
I also took one of my worked cags to try a Walbro HDA 20mm carb with a manifold I made and man did it go, especially when it hit the pipe. I would have thought a carby of this size would be to big. Anybody else played with carby's this big.
Just thought i would add I can see what people mean, the cags are so much easier to ride. But i'm afraid it wont do what the rep will. So it's now time to mod the front end of the rep.
GO TO SOUTH MORANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have done the same as you, for only $35 you have the track to yourself most of the time.

It will be more popular in the summer, you get some crazy rides through the week. Nothing like racing the go Karts around the track.

Best track around!

GO TO SOUTH MORANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah i like South Morang alot too man ! I wouldnt recommend the go karts though i think a cag would give them a run for their money if not take it! blata rep shaking? Well from all the bikes ive riden, my blata rep is pretty much up there with the best, handling wise(thatz running zhongyas and no steering damper) To addres your problem i think ya might want to look at how straight your frame is and check everythings done up tight. when thats got the ok, look at straightening up your handlebars if you havent already and if the piggy bank has any money left, chuck some pmt 43s on and that i gurantee will keep ya upright! Since ive been on Pmt43's, i dont need bandades anymore meaning lots of track time
coming to the end now. south morang is a thumbs up for me and i recommend it highly!!!
p.s try the hotdogs,their good!

Yeh, daylight saving's & summer, cant wait either. Your not wrong Sharp Lines it is a great track. Challenging no matter which direction you go in when you get up near the pit section of the track. Coming down the sweepers is ace. There was this kid there at the track that day that I couldn't imagine anybody on a mini-moto keeping up with, he was really flying.
Thanks for the advice Tz! After this post I went over the bike some more and found the head set had some play in it, and the angle of the handle bars was a lot more further in than my cag, so I changed them further outwards. I'm gonna get a damper and put it on as well. I think it was Glen, I'm not sure who put a post/link on how to set up the bike (thanks to whomever it was). I took from this and used a long piece of wood and a string line to set up the alignment so I hope I had that right. I'm only running Chinese tires as well, so I'm looking at tyre choices. Are the 43's are hard compound?
At the moment b4 I get there next, I have to get chain, new clutch pads, a stabilizer and a suit/pads. I got to say riding without all the gear is not worth it. I've had to work all week with me knee that I took a #### load of skin off. I'd say that was lesson learn't. LOL
P.S Next time I will try the HOT DOGS!

They have HOTDOGS?
Oh i've been missing out. Whenever I go I just get a can of coke.

Warning to anyone going in Summer. Bring heaps of water, I worked on my bike when i was there last time and I stayed in my leathers.
Never a good thing when its 33 degrees haha

If you want a hard compound i've used B grade PMT tyres and they last forever.
Well worth the money!

last time I went there (and I called the day before to make sure i could ride) they had a motard day and we couldn't ride. The time before that they were closed. It was a thursday and all of their promotions said that they were open. Thats a grand total of 3 hours driving with no riding. Im not happy with morang at the moment!
