Hey all i was after some advice with the sealed bearings should i take the seals out on both sides of the bearing like the stock one or leave them in or take the inner side out that faces the crank and leave the side that faces out of the case ?. here is a pic

Take out the seals is what I was always told.

Bit of a tip for installing them if you didn't already know. It's not uncommon to install new bearings, and either pinch them, or tap them in slightly crooked and they are screwed before the first pull start! Fire it up, and have to tear it all down again!

Get a hair drier or a torch of some kind and heat up the crankcases (oven works!). The metal expands slightly and allows the bearings to simply drop in. Now I don't mean glowing red obviously! But just warm them up.

Some people have also put the bearings in the freezer (in a SEALED zip lock bag to prevent moisture getting in) to make it even easier. There's mixed opinions about doing this though.

And even though it's got grease in there already. I've always poured some 2 stroke oil into the bearing to help keep it lubricated on initial start up.
