reed spacers

i have a blata b1 rep nd am looking to do sum serious work to its motor. ive spent the last few hours looking at other threads and found some realy helpful stuff, the only thing i havent been able to find out is were i am suposed to put a 7mm spacer in the reeds dose it sit under the reed block or is it a small spacer that goes between the reed and its bolting posision?

Yeah mate under the reed, but beware you will lose crankcase pressure. The idea is to allow the reeds to open further.

this is a good upgrade to all china bikes
it improves revs in all ranges definately worth the effort pooch

yea i put in a 6mm spacer and it went heaps better nd fitted sum 0.3mm carbon fibre reeds and a 65tooth rear sprocket nd its rocketing now

My experience advice if you plan to go further than just the spacer!
This is a good upgrade.
I have also worked on the engine blocks.
In my engine block, it is now smooth and nice transitions.
It's nice to run a finger over long radius and there will be minimal disruption in air flow i hope!

My experience is that I can not use 7mm spacer plata because then whipped down or over bending the reed valve.
I can only have 5mm spacer
I'm guessing that the engine block changes I have made, combined with my 5mm alloy plate space.
I believe I have technically 7mm.
If you change the surfaces of the blocks, take account of the changes in the engine block and make the diameter of the spacer thickness thinner.

The goals justifies the means
