Exclamation 50cc Pocket bike

When i turn the pull start paul i hear something metal grinding , when i reverse it grinds too and when i move either the chain or the fly wheel it still happens but its not the fly wheel or chain and im not sure if it will start or not i might be out of fuel or it doesnt work. anyone have any idea? I dont know what kind of bike it is but if u need pics i can strip it n take pics. i have some wid the cover on though.

Hey, Streetpunk. Welcome to the forums.

Yes, please do post pictures of your bike - pictures help a lot on theis forum for identification and trouble-shooting. Just saying "I have apocketbike" here is kinda like saying "I saw a woman shopping at Walmart." Since there are about a hundred different manufacturers and styles of pocketbike, we could be here for a while trying to figure out which one you have ... Pics with the fairings on is fine, but if you want to shoot the bike "naked," that's okay, too.

Right offhand, I'm guessing your problem could be one of a couple of things:
a) broken clutch spring, or
b) broken piston ring.

I'd check for the broken spring first by removing the clutch housing and bell, and looking inside.
