BZM clutch material choices?

Anyone know for sure what the difference is (other than cost) for the 3 choices of clutch linings that BZM offers?

1)strong 2)carbon 3)high tech

hope someone can help.

Merry Christmas everybody!!

they could.. or maybe, might be better saying what setup you need it for.. and the boys & gals will tell ya which clutch setup would be best...!
The compound/size of the shoes are different.. thats a start.. you get what you pay for!

The BZM website is next to useless. As far as the Google comment goes... what's the point of having a sub forum like this if not to ask questions? If you don't know, don't post. The second post highlights something relevant... why does this site get all prissy about only their sponsors posting if they're not even going to take the time to answer a simple question from someone who looks like they want to spend money. I've been watching this thread for a week as I'd like some for my 85kg bodied rider, car park racing, mostly stock, ZPF. So there's two sales gone unmade so far.

i dont know the specific differences but from my use of all 3 clutches, 1) Strong = i wouldnt use it . Didnt have anywhere near the life of 2) or 3). As for Carbon or High tech i found both too be just as good as one another in vertually every aspect as far as clutch slip, fade and pad life.
Although under some conditions (dodgy glue maybe) the clutch pad material would part from the shoe, and its stuffed after that happens. Otherwise if all goes accordingly Carbon or high Tech clutches great.

It all depends on the setup you like. Do you like it to come on easy or aggressive.
I like my clutch aggressive and this is what i've found
zocchi 3shoe carbons are good but tend to slip if not set perfect.
Zocchi 2 shoe much of the same but easier to setup and are quiet good.
Bzm 2 shoe carbon are crap. I had 4 sets in a row that threw pads.
Bzm 2 shoe high tech have been the best so far. And for value also. They are a gritty looking pad and dont glaze over so still look like they are going to bite.
Bzm 2 shoe delta are good but i found they fade when they get hot. If you want an agressive clutch im not a fan but otherwise very good for wear.

Between 3 shoes and 2shoes i actually like 2shoes better. Easier to set and so far better grab off the corners and start.
Hope this helps a bit for you. These are just my opinions of the clutchs i have continued to use and try.

Same here Wingnut , i would have had the BZM carbons throw about 3 pads on me. But all in a time frame of mid to end of season 09, i think i through a pad each race meet for 3 meets. That said in the 08 season i only went through 2 pair of carbon pads the whole year , there was no problem with carbons back then(or seemed not). Start too mid 09 i was using Delta as Wingnut said it slips when hot and u lose drive after about 4-5 laps. Its only now that ive gone back to using BZM carbon that they throw pads, every body who got a new set of BZM carbons were all throwing pads.
So yeh best stay clear of the BZM carbon till they have that sorted out.

Last race meet we had 5 races 2 practices and a qualifying over 2 days and i ran a new set of High techs with very little wear and only minor adjustments over the weekend. Very impressed so far. Get your self some of those Grevs.
