Question 49 cc engine

hi there,
i just bought a 49cc engine from ebay however when it arrived it had no insructions on how to :
*install to bike,
*install kill switch,
*install throttle cable,
*install fuel line to it as there is the normal fitting there as well as a fuel line coming out of the carby but half the thickness, wheather that is just for a breather im not sure. bike is an old dexon with no photos sorry, if anybody could help this would be good thanks jim.

righto.. so you need to 'install a 49cc motor'... first thing I would've done is googled images of 'install 49cc motor' and we all know a picture says a thousand words, sometimes more... theres heaps of images for you to at least to get an idea.. Doesn't really sound like you'v tried researching it...
Thats what searching tools and engines are designed for people.. gotta put in the hard yards guys, its only going to benefit you later down the track...

but for the kill switch, the button bit goes on your hangers and the other end of the wire must go onto the side of the coil(black thingy that produces the spark for the spark plug)... the throttle cable goes in the top of the carby, and yes that little fitting is an overflow/breather...

to install the kill switch wire you just need to plug it into the other plug on the coil, near the pullstarter and the spark plug lead, if you cant find it, take the 3 bolts out of the pull start and you will see it next to the flywheel.

did you buy the motor and carbi?
if so you need to buy a throttle and throttle cable, you can get this from our site sponsor Pocket Bike Parts - Home

after you have done that, undo the top of the carbi and put it together, you need to put the needle in the black bit, then put the cable through the top or the carbi ( bit you have taken off) then put the spring on and put it all together, pretty hard to explain..

there is 5 threads at the bottom of the motor, if your dexon does have the same patten on bottom of the of the frame where the motor is suppose to mount then you going to have to drill some.

the fuel line you have seen is the over flow, you will need to purchase some, there is fuel line on ebay, just type in "go kart fuel line"

Fah! I'd say pu tthe TRUCK away, and work on the bike .... Priorities, boy, priorities ....

Bottom of the engine usually has four or five bolts, depending on the shape of your engine mount baseplate. Those are 6mm x 15 bolts.

Top of the engine are two 5mm x 12's and a single 6mm x 15 where the upper engine mount attaches tot he frame.

Killswitch wire plugs into the female lead from the coil. If you can't find the wire, take off your pullstart, a male plug is on the side of the coil, and that's where the killswitch is wired to. Obviously, mount the switch itself on your handlebars.

Throttle cable goes into the top cap of the carburetor, through the throttle return spring, and through the long groove on the side of the throttle slide, hooking underneath. When you re-assemble the carb, the long groove goes on the right facing the petcock (the white knob).

Fuel line runs from bottom of tank to inline fuel filter to top of carburetor, right above the white knob (petcock).
