hi, my bike seems to die once you take off the choke. It will idol with the choke off but once you give it some revs it stops. How can I fix this?

HI MATE,
YOUR PROBLEM IS MORE THAN LIKELY THAT THE MAIN JET IN THE CARBY HAS BECOME BLOCKED WITH RUBBISH FROM THE FUEL TANK AS YOUR PROBLEM SOUNDS TO BE A LACK OF FUEL. THE FUEL FILTERS STANDARD ON THESE BIKES DON'T STOP ANYTHING REALLY. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE BIKES BUT ALSO VERY EASILY FIXED. JUST REMOVE THE BOWL FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE CARBY AND THEN UNDO THE MAIN JET. (THIS SHOULD BE THE BRASS LOOKING THING TO THE LAYMAN HANGING DOWN THE LOWEST.)
ONCE THE JET IS REMOVED, HOLD IT UP TO THE LIGHT AND SEE IF YOU CAN SEE THROUGH IT PROPERLY OR NOT AND THEN PROCEED TO BLOW ANY RUBBISH OUT OF IT - AND THEN HOLD IT UP TO THE LIGHT AGAIN AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE. THEN SIMPLY REPLACE EVERYTHING BUT I STRONGLY ADVISE ALSO REPLACING THE FUEL FILTER WITH A HIGHER QUALITY ONE.
THE PROBLEM COULD ALSO BE SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS A BIT OF WATER IN THE FUEL WHICH WILL ALSO BLOCK THE MAIN JET.

Yeh dude I agree with Ren, my bike ran like a pig out of the box till I added a good filter. I also found the stock fuel tap on the carbie RS so I put an inline tap after the filter (I run the filter and tap outside the frame tucked in the faring) and locked the stock tap on. I haven't seen a tank yet that didn't have rubbish floating in it!

its the plastic cylinder shape in the fuel line between the fuel tank and th carby. i replaced my filter cause the fuel reacted with the plasticand melted the end off, it only cost $9 for a good replacement. check out any pocket bike spares place or your local autobarn/supercheap places they will have a good upgrade.
