Mate, you could probably use turps or xylene if you really needed, in a stock motor nothing other that nitromethane mix would make any difference.

Nitromethane is what Top Fuel Dargsters use. Usually with a methanol mixture. You can buy it from any hobby shop but its REALLY expensive.
Just go with 98 octane and good synthetic oil at 50-1 ratio <20mls per litre>

I believe vortex has dropped in quality recently. I'm told that it has dropped from 98 to 95 octane. Now that my ninja has mega compression, it won't even run on the stuff, just pings its head off. Its probably about the same in a std cag but I'd still use BP or Shell if you can.

I've heard similar things about vortex as well. Apparently Shell fuels are known to be the most reliable and highest quality

guyz remember the hole point of high octain fuel is to prevent pre-detination....(aka)will change u timing but also make your motor run cooler....so to take the full advantage of high octane fuel you must alter your timing or get a rocket key....but then again i dosent contain contaminants like normal unleaded fuel...
hope it helpsz
