Hey Guyz,
Its been a while I no!
But with a crazy wife who takes me for just a big kid fiddling around with my blata rep and three young kids all under the age of 9 years you could say Ive definately got my hands full.
Despite all that crazyness I finally managed to get my blata rep back together after doing a bearings and seals change.
Thanks to Glen and all the top guyz of this forum I got though it cheerz couldnt have done it without you.
All the advise was spot on!
Especially loved baking the cases worked a treat in regards to the bearing change,Used all geniune Jap bearings the seals thanks to the sponsers are genuine blata (european made) which gave me no dramas at all didnt have to freeze them, just pushed them in and lightly tapped them with a rubber mallet. All good.
Went together smoothly gained alot of knowledge doing the job myself also got a fair idea on how the motor works now and got a very good clean out.
Started it up today idled for about 10 mins felt very smooth alot smoother than before and not as noisy as before!
Just more stable generaly,The major thing that did stand out is how more smoothly the clutch engages now due to the fact that I also replaced the bell housing bearing as well with a jap.
Definately recommend this upgrade. The full metal impeller kit thanks to pocketbikeparts is a great upgrade no need to worry about the impellor spinning on the shaft anymore!Even the geniune european made blata ones come with plastic head go figure?
Once I was happy with it idling we went down to the track two blata reps and a cag,Spattered a bit first got the cobwebs out then stablised and took off got to the first straight opened it up then all of sudden just died.
Not your normal break down this thing just shut down in one hit like pushing the cut off switch!
So checked the fuel lines seems to be getting fuel to the carby although i changed the fuel tank and silly me didnt check if it was absolutely clean...
Plenty of spark but did notice after checking the spark plug a few times that it wasnt even getting wet with fuel starvation of fuel maybe?
Blocked jet dirty carby?
Whats your thoughts love to hear them...
Great to be back your advise would be much appreciated...

hey, is your motor still winding over with the same amount of compression.... if so, hopefully its just somethin' simple... but a blocked jet sounds like the next place to start, if you didn't clean out your carby when you refreshed your motor.. you should do it now, as your carby and exhaust are so vital in a fast 2 stroke setup.. if its(air/fuel) not going in or comin out properly, you'l never get the proper potential of your motor... and while you've got the carby off, have a look at your reeds, did you reassemble them at all in your motor rebuild.. maybe something came loose...

Thanks again Morty,
Definately got plenty of compression doing the finger test but will give it a compression test...
How many pulls on the pullstart should I give it to get an accurate reading?
What should the reading be?
If there is a low reading in regards to the compression test are we talking about a piston and ring problem?
I didnt replace the piston nor ring! Also didnt clean out the carby as you mentioned didnt want to go into that...
I will give it a go though...
Will keep you guyz posted on how I go...
Hopefully not a major problem,One thing I can say again is how smooth the bike felt compared to originally running...
Your help is very appreciated...

| | | Compression Test
Heyz Guyz,
Finally got around to give da blata rep a proper compression test...
Compared to my bros blata rep there a bit of difference in results which is not really reassuring!
Please take a look at the pics for more detail...
The red blata which is mine gave a reading like 50psi and 350 kpa,In saying that Im amazed at how smooth the motor is now compared to my bros blata and before I did the bearings and seals change maybe a little to smooth obviously...
The black blata which is my bros gave a reading like 65+ psi(more like nearly 70psi) and 450kpa,Please advise like to hear your thoughts...
If anyone can advise on the correct readings it would be much appreciated...
Should I go ahead with cleaning the carby,Jet etc now or maybe pop off the head again and check it out...

Hey Guyz,
Would really appreciate some help guyz,Ive gone a head and given the carby a thorough clean still cant get it to fire...
As I mentioned before compared to my other blata Im down 20psi and 100kpa in compression,Plenty of spark too...
Really got me scratching my head!!! Hate to say it guyz but starting to get sick of it but dont want that to happen so please any ideas?
I cant understand what happen after putting the bike back together it fired up first go!
Idled it for atleast 15mins no dramas took it out fired it up took of nice splatted a bit then ok got about 200metres along the straight just as I could hear it starting to open up it shut down like I had hit the stop button rolled to a stop and that was the last time it ran...
I dont no! maybe blew the ring?

Have you checked for leaks??
Have you pulled off the head to check for damaged o-rings?? Have you pulled the barrel off to check the ring or base gaskets?? Have you checked the crank case seals for signs of leakage or damage?? Have you checked the intake manifold??

use a bit of aerostart maybe?
The common things to look for. Fuel Air Compression Spark. The FACS. Is it getting Fuel? Does it have Spark? Do you have an Air leak? Whats the Compression? If you find even ONE of the issues, you have a problem. Eliminate all.

Heyz Guyz,
Great! To hear from u guyz again Glen(node) and Claw(node)...
Thanks for the heads up...
As u can see ive been having some problems after the bearings and seals change...
Ive checked for leaks externally found nothing! It sealed nicely...
Orings were just put in new but havent checked them...
I did have to clean out one of the water jackets holes it was blocked severly a factory fault and covered in green crap!!!
Gave the carbys a thorough clean timming cap good, good spark not firing...
I just wanted to make sure before stripping it down again...
Im thinking maybe stuffed ring or something in there because the compression is down compared to my other blata...
Did you guyz make anything from my compression readings?
I will go through each obstacle and eliminate...
