As mods on this forum ,we have to treat the users on this forum as customers..for if we don't have users on this forum, we don't have a forum.
Look at what happened when Glen #159 was a mod, the amount of posts dropped and this forum was close to being closed down...I never want to see this forum head that way again.
We all have to give new users a bit of a break until they find their way around this site. This doesn't mean that they have a free rein to run amuck on here either.
To be a Mod on this site you have to be responsible in how you post and handle other peoples posts. We are not only responsible for this site but as is the case of all the users on this forum we are responsible in how this sport is viewed by the public and more importantly the growth of this sport.
Those of you who have met me face to face know that even though this sport is meant to be fun that I do take it very seriously and promote the sport at every opportunity. That also applies to my time that I spend on this forum too.
I look forward to this site growing along with this sport and always look forward to logging on here everyday....the reason for this is that I like to catch up with all who use this forum and I think it would be shame to loose any of the people who use this forum on a regular basis.

To Glen #159...I hold no hard feelings and still welcome your input on this site too...just I used you as an example
I agree with TheClaw and rover (even though you stole my users are customers line rover LOL) this thread isn't that old.But even if it is old, yes we do have to give new users a bit of a break until they find their way around this site. So Yes Welcome to the forum Wanabuyabike.
The last thing anyone needs to do, is jump on a new user and make them scared to post. (not directed at anyone just a statement)
As discussed last night rover, Not only are sponsors customers but I have a very strong belief that users are customers as well. Although I mite and others may not agree with what someone writes, everyone has the right to an opinion and to post as long as its not attacking someone or against forum rules. I as a mod although may not appear to be on here much, am regularly monitoring this site, and think things are going great. Me and rover are in constant contact with each other ,so feel I can talk on his behalf when I say, feel free to contact us with any problems about this forum, and we will try to do our best to help. And if you feel we have done anything wrong,(happy to say no one has said we have to my knowledge yet) please let us know so we can explain our actions...and if I see your point of view I am a big enough man to admit a mistake, and will be the first to post a public apology.

Why the bit of a rant...well just want new and existing users to know that as far as we are concerned we look at you as customers on here, and will do what ever we can to make your time on here enjoyable, and defend your rights to post.

Off of here though I look at you as competitors and great friends...that without the many varied people I have met would of seen me give up this sport long ago. I appreciate all your input on here and friendship off of here.

Did we find out what it was ??? I can't believe the main cosensus was dirty carby here, I know what you're saying, but seriously, What has the carby got to do with the back wheel?
I said Clutch, you's said carb.! hmmmm.. wonder what it was.... $100 says its clutch....
He said he has to start it with the wheel off the ground.... stuffs me what that has to do with the carby.. but hey!
morty
Oh & I love saying stuff twice!!

If so, your clutch seems to engage to early for some reason.. this could be a few things! So take off your clutch bell and see whats going on... maybe the bolt you are using to hold your clutch on is just a bit big and hitting the housing or maybe your clutch is damaged! Look for wear marks on the inside of your housing to indicate any problems with clearance!! .. morty

I wish my wife was as dirty as my cag carb.....

Ahem

Yeah, I remember the first pocket bike i had got it had this problem and i opened up the carburetor and there was all gunk inside it that was from the manufacturer, I cleaned it and it worked a charm

And, well that's just disturbing.

I had a bike that did this exact thing, what it is, is if the bike is old or heavily used, the spring on the clutch become brittle and shatter, then the lock between the cluthc shoes and drum causeing the clutch to stick and stall the engine, so for about $2,99 you can get some new springs and fix your problem, dont keep trying to break it loose or you will snap off your shoes from your clutch and it will be rubbish untill you buy a whole new clutch ssembly.

Hope this helps
