now i know that there is another post on the cvt but i wanted a new 1 to get more peples attention
has any 1 tried to change the gear ratios inside the cvt transmission
and if u havent tried but u have looked inside it,.. does it look possible??
and what can be done gear ratio wise to help these big fat bikes that carry lots of weight???

arrrm check the other topic started by r1 rider about the cvt box and see if that makes any sense and if it does not then i will post up some pics and stuff

it looks possible to change the gearing from i've seen but i havent tried it myself so i cant say anything more on it.
probably, if you changed the big back 2 gears it might improve the pulling performance.
this might make more sense: clutch bell spinning 2 8 tooth sprockets in the cvt, 2 8 tooth sprockets spinning 2 26 tooth sprockets, which are attached to a 14 tooth counter front sprocket.
my theory is that if you only change the 2 26 tooth sprockets to 8 tooth sprockets then it would recieve the same power as from the bell, the 14 tooth counter front sprocket would then spin as fast as the little 8 tooth sprockets and because there are more teeth on the front sprocket it should churn through more chain :wink:
remember this is only a theory, i've never actually tried this
