Coil position on flywheel

Hey guys,
Recently i had to pull the starter off to find a noise my engine was making and it happened to be the coil rubbing on the flywheel.
After closer inspection i noticed that the coil pickups dont sit fully over the magnets on the flywheel, about 6mm would sit over them and 2mm off to the side.
Am i losing power cause the whole coil pickup isnt covering the magnets,or wouldnt 2mm worth matter
Its just to move it across im gunna have to modify the coil mount and my crankcase aswell
Heres a pic of the flywheel and the rubb marks on it when it come loose to show how much of the magnet it actually covers

Sorry for the crappy picture, tell me what yous think

well you know my opinion :P

but it will cause the coil to be placed in an area with higher magnetic density. maybe you wont notice anything but in theory it will make the spark stronger
