carby adjustments

Hi people ive recently purchased a pocket bike from EBAY and thought
i spend some money trying to get it to run better.I bought a good fuel filter,ADA racing reed,OEM carby similar to the WALBRO ,and advanced timing key and a ADA air filter but can still only manage to get 50-55km/h out of it.I even raced my mate on his sons pee wee 50 and he owned me in the first run so back to the shed we went to play with the carby a bit as it would splutter a bit when opened right up at top speed,so we got it revving better at top speed minus the spluttering and beat his fat *** in the second race.but after eliminating the spluttering when it was fully opened at top speed it would tend to bog down and want to die when taking off so if anyone has some setting that we can work off i would appreciate it.

PS: I have to put a rubber glove over the Air filter to choke to get it to start when its cold.

Does anyone else have these problems with these bigger carbys?

I realise i may have somehting as little as 36cc-49cc now as i didnt know about all these cheap inferior models that are out.

after reading this post again I just realised I can stop your cold starting probs with a choke plate designed for your carb we sell them at $10 piece and they are 15mm same as your carb all you do is bolt it right in and presto you now can chuck the rubber glove by the way do you have a velocity stack? this would give you a boost too
