New exhaust placement - opinions

Hi guys, since i fried the exhaust off the bike last nite i am thinking of ditching the dual ends and putting a single larger exhaust on the bike (for obvious reasons)

But im stuck as to where to place the new exhaust, i could run it back under the rear plastic in the middle, or off to one side at a slight angle behind the foot pegs ...

Previous image removed, this is the exhaust i will be using:

current exhaust on the bike:

which do you think would be better ?

It's a mid-size X9 ...

Fuel tank is forward of the exhaust, it's a 4 stroke bike so the exhaust pipe itself bolts under the head, under the motor to the back, away from the fuel tank.

I was thinking of putting it in the same place the twins are and run a single only, or place off to the right hand side as per the R6 style ... but not sure and can't decide.
