Just got my bike. What now!

Hi just to make it short i got my bike today. I straight away tightened everything up and cleaned the filter and lubbed the chain. What else should i do to make sure everything will run well. By the way it does not need to be run in as it is not new. And where is the choke on these things lol its a dellorto style carby. Thanks guys.

the choke is on the top of the carby, a black knob

i say get a good iridium tipped NGK spark plug, and maybe replace the wheel bearings with good quality ones, (if they havent been changed already)

the bike

the bike you've got is a race preped bike
it has modified and matched bottom cases, race reeds, modified piston, debured and cleaned barrel ports, compression checked at 15.3 : 1 , race carby 18mm, choke is the black knob and has to be lifted and turned 90 deg, must run on 110 fuel with 35:1 oil full syn type., exhaust hand made and tuned for 990 bar atm pressure, the unit requires main jets of 98 to 110, carby should be cleaned and the bike stored dry between races.
THE BIKE is very reliable but mnt is critial also

:O thanks for all that information. Yeh i havnt really had enough time on the bike yet but i have been cleaning it etc. I cleaned the filter and oiled it and played around with the choke but before i did all this the bike started fine but after i did this it just wouldnt start at all nothing. I didnt touch anything else. The pull starter also started to feel real tight and hard to pull so i left it alone for a bit and havnt really been home since. I think it had something to do with over oiling the filter or maybe i flooded the motor??

Oh and johns is it ok if i run 98 octane fuel ( i am using motul 800 full synthetic oil ) and the ratio i used was 30:1. And how do i adjust the clutch because for everyday riding it kicks in way to high for my liking.

yes, motul 800 is a full synthetic 2 stroke oil. do not mix this at a 25 to 1 ratio, 40 to 1 only.
