| | | GRC RR vs Banshee (Dyno Test)
This is a comparison of Hp/Torque & Rpm between the GRC RR '06 and Banshee on the Dyno.
Overall the Banshee has just a small amount of extra hp, but the torque is way above the GRC, overall these bikes are very simular in performance, however the GRC as bike is way ahead with it's weight etc.
Both bikes are putting out about 14.5hp
GRC RR '06 Specs (Red in Graph)
BZM 50cc 6 Port Engine
.04 squish dome
18mm Dellorto Carby
Silver Crank
GRC RR Exhaust Banshee Specs (Brown in Graph)
Chinese Crankcase only
BZM 50cc 6 Port Cyl
.03 squish dome
19mm Dellorto Carby
Red Crank
GRC RR Exhaust
The speeds recorded on the Dyno where:
GRC = 88.0 km/h
Banshee = 83.6 km/h
The peak rpm recorded on the Dyno where:
GRC = 15,838
Banshee = 15,465
Information about the Dyno can be found here: http://www.vpba.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=278

This bike puts out a genuine 14.5hp rear wheel and some increadable torque. Spend over $4,500 on this bike. Selling cheap - make me an offer...

Banshee is far from stock. What about doing a test with a stock RR and a stock Banshee. I think the results would be slightly different.
The thread is a great idea, I'd like to see some more bikes put to the test.
How about putting a banshee up against a Z1, or Z1 v's B1 etc.

it would be nice to re- do this test with the same grc and banshee engine but both engines set with 0.04 squish clearance. i feel this setting will bring the banshee rpms up very close to the grc. good stuff.

It would be, but I ain't about to change the squish dome. At the end of the day these are results I have yet to see from anyone, lets hope a few people in Melbourne want to have there bike put on the dyno so we can campare a lot of things.
