Can ya adjust a standard clutch

My clutch was ok, as in it engadged after a few revs but i did a burnout and it may have got some water on it now it grips instantly therefore starting is a ***** as i need to be moving so it wont stall. Can i back off the clutch or do i need to wait for it to dry out or is it rooted and i need a new one. I am gettin a performance one anyway but standard was ok for now. Any ione come across this problem b4??

RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
no you can,t adjust a stock cag clutch, what you say is now happening with your clutch is not right, you must remove the clutch housing [ 4 bolts] then have a close look at all 3 springs to make sure none are broken, if all are ok then you must check that each clutch shoe can spread out slightly by using your thumb at the spring end, sometimes the clutch bolts seize and cause the clutch to stay engaged.
