Chain / Sprocket Trouble

I have had my CAG for a while and i love it speed and acceleration are very nice, however i have done a few mods.

No engine wear or engine problems at all....

However i have been having trouble lately with my chain it keeps on coming loose and when a mate and I had a look at it the sprocket seemed bent and was forcing the chain to come off.

I ripped my bike apart and removed the sprocket to the eye it doesnt seem like its bent at all, neither is my wheel :? I dont know what it is, but atm it is rendering my bike useless as i cant ride it without the chain coming off and the bike reving out.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
as Razzor mentioned, are the teeth on the sprocket ok ? also make sure your engine cog is lined up with the rear wheel sprocket, take a look from behind the rear sprocket and gauge by eye making sure the chain is dead straight from topside of the chain and from cog to cog, if you have the original chinese chain it may be time to buy another as these chains do stretch alot causing the space between the rollers to gain length which will cause an upset with the sprockets teeth spacings.

Make sure your engine mounts haven't come loose and the engine shifted slightly or your rear wheel is not aligned to the from sprocket correctly. Look along the top of the chain from behind the bike and see if your sprocket and chain are running true to the front sprocket. Don't forget the chain lube.

Good luck and happy repairs.

Hey guys,

Yeh ur ideas helped, I actually purchased the Pocket Bike Secrets book last night and that filled me in on a few ideas of how to adjust the engine position etc so that nothing rubs and the chain doesnt fly off. Not a bad e-book if i dont say so myself!!!

Thanks guys.

ok.
1.- check your idle screw, make sure its not idleing to high, which makes it virabrate badly and cause the chain to jump
2.-make sure ur chain links can move freely up and down,(go through all your links and move them up and down)
3.-get a new sprocket
4.- Your wheel isnt align problery
5.- or your chain could be stretched out too much and wen you tighten it,it will only get bigger and make its just pretty much fall off

try these and get back to me
