| | | I'm boycotting P Racer
I know It's been mentioned a hundred times before but I believe these
guys are shafting their customers. It's only when Carter or Ozscoot advertise something, they seem to drop the price of that item.
The alloy starter pawl for example was $66 and then dropped to $44. I now see Carter has it for $37. That's getting pretty close to half of
their original price.
The loser at Moto Scoot and Skate is no better. He doesn't even hold stock.
Another thing that peaves me is this. If you're buddies of these guys, you can buy all the stuff for next to nothing. If you're not, you'll be lucky to get service at all on a race day.
It doesn't do much for their credibility when they are forced to drop prices by large amounts to come in line with competetors.
Imagine if you found out the new car you bought was almost 35% cheaper
down the road. All this tells me is that they have little or no respect for the customer and will milk them for every cent they can, rather than building a trusting relationship, which is always more profitable long term.
In the short time I've raced there, I've already spent a few hundred dollars. If my bike breaks in future, I'll leave it broken until I can buy parts elsewhere.
Come on Archerfield.

so what happened to make you change your tune from this: http://www.pocket-bike-racing.com.au...opic.php?t=191
I think the reason that prices have dropped so much is that they have to compete, do you think if ozscoot and carter where the only companies around they wouldn't charge an arm, a leg and your left testicle for parts if they knew they could
it's the way the system works, charge what you can - make money you just have to learn how to beat it by saying, "hey I just saw that so and so have this for $x, can you beat/match that price as you're local and I'd prefer to come to you.

But Paul and I are being fair with our pricing we are making a profit of course but not taking our customers to the cleaners as some would do in QLD and MELB & NSW. Mate when I started I was the only company around that serviced and supplied scooter parts for the chinese scooter market and still am!!! I still didnt charge an arm or a leg or a left testicle as you put it so please dont include us in your rantings! We would both appreciate that.

It seems , that if you're the only one in the shop, they'll take an intrest in you. If you're not and one of their buddies turn up and want to have a chat, You're invisible.
I stood and waited patiently for ages while one guy talked to his mate.
When his mate left, the guy dissappeared.
Having a business that suddenly drops prices by large margins does nothing for it's credibility. It all boils down to who you can trust.

| Speaking of the alloy starter it is crap doesnt fit and it will screw your bike up mark my words someone will fry theyre crank or fly wheel and come on here eventually and back this up there was never meant to be metal on metal there was meant to be a weak point cause it is easyer the replace the plastic piece if it shits itself than your crank or flywheel! if some one was to have an appifany they would use the same moulds and use a stonger nylon or kevlar but it would have to have some give so as not to do what I saiod above!!

fair point gillberg. I hate being ignored by people in shopss
if it takes more than a couple of minutes to by served I usually turn around and leave (hard thing is that with the pocket bikes we don't have too many options of shops to go to  )

Their pricing seems fairly good. I havent delt with them, so I can't comment on sevice etc.
I'm going to get onto them for future reference.
