Has any heard of a 4 stroke pocket bike?

I came across a 49cc 4 stroke pocket bike on the net and have since been looking for more information regarding the engine design, parts and reliability issues. Quality wise its Chinese so what more can I say. You either like or you hate it.

I haven't heard of any one selling the bikes. Just curious whether anyone else has heard of, ridden one, knows of this particular pocket bike. The pocket bike is base on the Origami.

This is the factory claim as below.

1.Engine:49cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled

2.Start mode : Pull start

3. speed 80-90 kph

4. load capacity : 120kg

5. front wheel size:90/65-6.5

6. rear wheel size:110/50-6.5

7. fuel consumetion :2.5:1

8. max torque: 8.3/(9000+/-900)kw/rpm

9. weight:25kgs/30kgs

10.seat hight :46.5 cm

11. brake type: Double disc brake for front, disc brake rear

12. rim type: aulimumniu

13. dismention: 112x 50x 59cm

14. fule tank size:1.5 l
15. color :optional

Here is another claim. From the same manufacturer.
  1. Engine : 4 stroke,single cylinder,air cooled
  2. Engine size : 340mmx198mmx260mm.
  3. Starting mode: pull start
  4. Displacement(ml): 49
  5. Bore×stroke: 41.8×37.4
  6. Compression Ratio: 9.1:1
  7. Carburetor: can moving
  8. Lubrication system: Pression and Splash Lubrication
  9. Clutch: wet-type automatic .
  10. Max Laden Weight (kgs): 70
  11. Fuel Consumption Under(g/kw.h): 308
  12. Rated Power And Rotating Speed(kw/r/min): 1.8/1600
  13. Tyre size 12.5×2.25
  14. Suspension system: Spring Hydraulic Type
  15. Brake system: hydraulic disc brake both for front and back.
  16. Net weight : 27.5 kgs
  17. Gross weight : 32kgs

We all know that they like to exaggerate.

BZM make a four stroke 110cc pocketbike engine that will compete with the fast 50's there are none in Australia.

Otherwise, there are 110cc mid sized pocketbikes around but again, no one uses them.

Yeah the one I came a cross were no mid size bikes. Look exactly like the origami reps. Judging from the pics the engine is nothing I've seen before, nor is it based on the Cub engine. My guess is its using a off the shlef 49cc 4 stroke bicycle engine conversion kit.

I am very curious now to find more information and curious how it performs.

Don't bother mate. Stick with a 2 stroke. Cheap to fix. Tons of power!!!

true.

The states are seriously restricting 2 strokes because of pollution and smog issues and have to be EPA approved.

I got me thinking the other. What will become of PB if 2 strokes were to be banned. What is the solution if any?

Electric was one that came to mind and the other was 4 stroke engine.

Imagine if the Euro bikes could no longer run 2 stroke engines. These companies would either have no choice but to call it quits or be forced to seek and develop a new engine design that would meet stringent regulations.

That'll never happen. As long as bikes are racing, 2 strokes will be there.
