Hi, im new to the world of pocket biking so please excuse any stupid references i might make
I am having a problem with our neighbour. we have a large backyard which has a paved go kart track on it, which we race our home made karts on, plenty of fun.
i then decided to buy a blata b1 rep pocket bike for something different, and it was even better!!!!!
but the house next door is a rental house, and fat, bitchy women and her bloody husband have moved into it.
as soon as we start up even our 4 stroke karts she comes out screaming and threating to call the police. this has basically made over a couple of 1000 dollars of karts, bike and track completly redundent. one day it got to much and i had to go for another spin on the bike (only the second time after break in). there is a quiet and twisty road near our house that i thought would be plenty fun. but then the inevitable happened. after half an hour of fun, someone had called the police and i was told that because it is unregistered, it is illegal to use it on the road. im really p***ed off at the moment as we have a plenty fast pocket bike and some nippy go karts and a perfect track right in our yard, but its all useless. could someone tell me where the hell i can ride the bike, race the karts. i live in slightly rural area of Darwin, in the NT. Thanks!!!

I would let her threaten all she likes... if I had a track like that, I'd tell her to go call the cops if that's what makes her happy. They can't take anything from you, worst case they tell you to cease. Just ride on it, let her have her rant... if she comes over, serve her with a trespass notice.

Andy
We use our karts from anywhere past lunchtime to 6pm, so it would be alright if she went to work, but all she does all day is sit on the back porch and look on us like a vulture. but if is legal to use them on private property after nine.
Our other neighbour doesnt have a problem with our karts or even the buzzy little bike, and there house has windows and vents open all over it, so if anything it would be louder for them. it just kills the fun having sitting at the fence screaming at us. (ok, that is a bit exaggerated, but she did scream her head off once when we fired up the bike and started revving it, but that was just us pissing her off |

Have a chat to the cops to make sure you're under the noise limit. (I reckon you would be). Then just get yourself a nice quiet helmet so you can't hear her. Ps. disposable earplugs inside your helmet works well.

haha, kind of reminds me when I was riding my pit bike in the back yard, and a little kid popped his head over the fence (2 houses up) and screams "shut up! I'm trying to have my birthday party" so I pulled up and the kill switch was disconnected so i had to turn the fuel off and let the bike just idle there for about a minute.. felt pretty bad hahaha..
