| | | need help with dell rep 19mm.
hey guys,
Just got a 19mm dell rep with manafold to suit it and also a quick turn throttlew for my blata rep.
The bike is all stock exept for the spark plug, radiator hoses and what not,
I seemed to get the bike started with some throttle but i cant idle it. it just dies. i was hoping to get more power out of the bike and now it seems slugish when i rev it..? how can i make it idle? which one is the idle screw?
do i need to change jets?
also today was 43 degreese? could that be a factor and im still runing 25:1?..
any help appriciated, thanks
andy,

if its slugish taking off, then it is running too rich. Go down a jet.
Also, the idle screw should be in the right hand side if your looking from the back, or the same side as your thottle is placed on your handle bars..
good luck with it.

andy, | Hi Andy. It sounds like it's running a bit lean, if anything. Change to 50:1 oil and use 98premium with a good oil. You'd best get a new plug too. At 43 degrees with a 19 it should really have enough fuel as that carb is big for a 39cc.

i cant find a screw on the right?... i think on the left if your looking from the rear there is a screw with a spring thing on it, i think that may be the idle. also should i lean it out using the idle screw or go to a 32:1 mix ?

Andy, there are two screws to watch out for. They are both on the ledt hand side. The silver one in the middle that sits out of the carb is the idle screw, the brass one to the Left of that is the mixture screw. Screw that all the way in and then turn it out 1.75 turns. The idle screw you should turn in then 3 turns out and work from there, If it revs too high, turn it out more, if it stalls, turn it in a bit more.
GO TO 50:1, your motor will be fine and get good oil and fuel, dammit!!

huys still having a lil trouble.,
i put it a new NGK spark plug, chaged to 50:1 with 98 octane fuel, got it to idle by adjustiong the idle screw but only idles for about 10 secons then cuts out. i adjusted the idle mixtre to 1.75 screws out and still when i rev the engine it doesent hit high RPMS like it used to with the stock carb and seems gargly and slugish if you get what i mean?.. anything els i can do? also where the thottle cable attaches to the top of the carb i didnt put that etal lil might angled thing on where the cable goes through is this ok? i checked and i can still open the throttle fully withought it on and seems to work well... when i put it on i think that cable is too short.
andy help appreciated, sorry for the long post haha
andy.

make sure the barrel looks the same as in the pic aswell... the barrels for the reps will go on either way, but the raised bit at the bottom has to be towards the air filter not the motor.. this will stop it from idling...
and you'l need a dellorto rep carby cable... they're a little longer than std ones, usually they come with the carby....
