bike choice DM or Blata

Hey guys,

I have the opportunity to add another bike to the stable and I need some opinions or advice.

I can get a 2 year old Blata elite 14WRS with all ceramic bearings or an older DM (the ones with no dog bones on the rear swing arms). Both are about the same price.

I`m worried that the Elite is a mini and will be a torture rack to ride as I`m 6 feet tall.I have never rode a mini
before. The smallest bike I have rode is a GRC GP and I think that is a midi.

The Dm is a midi and more like my B1 so should be comfy. I am leaning towards the Elite, but I dont want it to end up as an ornament because its too small.

any help from riders of Dms and Elites would be welcomed.Happy new Year everybody!

Vella is a short *** like you 74. lol
I'm just under 6' and I tower over you guys.

But, I remember Ian from SA is like 6' 96kg, and he used to ride the Elite no problems.
It depends on how flexible you are and what you prefer to ride.

If it was me, as I'm a fat *** old guy I would go the DM over the Elite if they were my only choices.

B1Kid, see if you can test ride each bike would be the best way to decide.

Also, there is some very nice Ultima's coming in a couple of weeks, just a thought.

Wink Thanks very much guys!

thanks guys,really appreciate the advice.

Seeing as how I am an older, less flexible guy I`ll have to stay with the Midi`s and sadly pass on the Elite WRS.It was a very nicely taken care of machine with a few extras,I would have enjoyed it but I would probably be in agony after 10 minutes.

Well,I do like the Ultima but I would really like a used B2,but finding one is hard.I`ll procede with the DM purchase.

Thanks again guys!
