footpegs.

hey guys,
this topic has probably come up allot but it is still bugging me.
My blata blata rep needs to get its footpegs raised for more clearance during cornering.
i know you can get the blata B2 footpeg setup but i dont really have the cash for it.
Then you can make your own brackets, but i dont really have the tools and stuff for that either.
So, i was wondering if anyone has tried adding the blata elite 14 footrest bracket onto the footpegs of the B1 rep to give the pegs more height if you know what i mean.. and shorten the metal rod that the bracket wil be hanging onto to give it more ground clearace. so pretty much just putting the elite 14 setup on a B1 rep?. just asking of your sugestions.. here are some pics to help you out on what i am thinking.

thanks guys and sory for the long post haha

andy.

I just use those alluminium pegs you see everywhere. They sit mainly above the original pins and you can cut the pins down if you want. Don't use the bolts that come with em tho, drill em out and put a bolt right through with washers. Mine never touch now, I just skim my toe occasionally.

You can get meathook style pegs from PBU in the states <unless someone else has them here> that should give you a little clearance but the biggest improvement would be in riding style. Try and keep your bike a little more upright through corners by either hanging off a tad or leaning your shoulder into the corners.

The guys that do it like that don't have a problem with clearance. You'll also need to roll your feet up so's your toes don't cause a problem.

Don't know if this is going to help but come down to WCR one day on a practice session and we can try and teach you a thing or two.
