| | | Cleaning radiator and cooling system
Hey guys,
I just got a blata rep and it had some brown stuff sort of mirky water in cooling system. I emptyed it all out and filled it with distilled water. I was wondering if it is worth cleaning the radiator and system out with this Nulon radiator flush and clean stuff. here is a link so that you can get an idea on what it is. Radiator Flush and Clean - Nulon Products Australia
Do you thnk it would be any good for my cooling system to flush it out?
thanks
andy.

The brown water is rust and water combined.. Due to the radiator being steel..
If you had a aluminium radiator you will not get that..
Sure it wouldn't hurt to clean it out..
But do not just refill with distilled water only.. Use coolant.. I highly recomend a product called 'Watter Wetter', it is a non-glycol based product so is acceptable at venues which prohibit the use of coolant(such as Lakeside)..

I wouldn't stress to much over it..
Just make absolutely sure that you refill with coolant, as it has properties in it to further stop corrosion..

i think ill just flush it then refill with some non glyco based coolent. would it just be the radiator rusting or could it also be inside the barrel?

its only the radiator rusting. The barrel is alloy so it wont rust .
