i managed to get mine on by basically just kneeling on it and using my body weight to push the rim into the tyre and then using a pair of flatheads i bent up (gotta sacrifice em both though) to pull the edges around.

however my front tyre still has a leak and it seems to be well mounted on the rim. is there any other way to seal it up aside from glueing it?

Yeah i prefer to take mine and get changed at a tire centre aswell, alot easier and less chance of ruining your tire trying to do it yourself with screw drivers and stuff

Yeh some tyre places will do it. but if you are going to do it yourself, be firm but gentle and try and not place too much pressure on the rim use more that one leaver or screw driver if thats all you have. When you place it on if you leave it out in the sun for a little while this will make the tyre to be a little bit easire to place on.

Taking tyre off---

1. Let the air out...

2. Place tyre and rim on the ground...

3. Using your knee, kneel on the tyre so that the bead is forced to the centre of the rim...

4. whilst using the knee to force the bead to the centre, stick a flathead screwdriver or tyre lever into the opposite bead that you have forced with your knee, and simply pop the bead of the rim...

5. Work your way arond the rim levering the tyre off..

It's a piece of cake and should only take no more than 2 mins to get off... I once took a rim and tyre to Beaurepairs,it was the first time I had to get a tyre changed, they looked at me with a dumb look on there face and told me it would probably take two hours to get that on... I LOL'd in their face and did it myself in half an hour ....Since then i've got it down to 8 mins to get a tyre off and put on a new one, with an inner tube (excludes getting the wheel off the bike) .......

yep what glen said is the best way

just make sure you dont damage the bead of the tyre or rim or it may leak

also tyre levers are the way to go & fairly cheap screwdrivers tend to be a little harsh on the tyre bead & rim & can damage the seal easily

some cast alloy rims can be porous so a coat of paint or latex rubber on the inside of the rim will usually solve any slow leaks

last thing is to make sure the tubless valve is in good condition as they tend to leak a little when old or perished
just test it in a tub of water
