| | KTM 50cc Replica
Hey,
I'm looking to buy a KTM 50cc Replica second hand for $300. Could anyone that owns one, has personal experiences of these bikes about their reliability/speed?
I haven't found much on google and am really interested why these bikes arent too popular, they look good!
Here is a link: eBay Australia: KTM 50cc motorbike minibike racing bike trail dirtbike (item 180144555053, end time 07-Aug-07 09:36:24 AEST)
Are these bikes any good? What are they really called? I just want some more info if anyone could please tell me.
Thanks in advanced!! |

Your right it looks like a sick little bike, thats part of the reason why I have asked for peoples help/opinion because usually things look too good to be true.

| | | ztm 50 i think they call them
i have seen a few with the SQ factory stamps on engine cases
the SQ factory & parts used on blata reps tend to be the quality bikes from china so same would go for the ZTM
you can buy clutches & spares there are a few ebay dealers who stock parts but you dont see alot mainly clutches or the bikes themself
i think they are well made & far better than a cag dirtbike with alot more power than a watercooled cag
& being a watercooled 50cc engine with a working tuned pipe im sure they put out more power than the modded blata reps with bigbore kits so hang on out of the box
search for ztm on youtube im sure there are a few videos of them in action

specs are about 8 kw or 10.7 hp out of the box so they are not for the faint hearted rider or kids that have no experience

Yes, I had seen them advertised on ebay a while back as ZTM's.
They look mad but what happens if I blow a rear tire ? Where do I go ? Clutch wears ? Worn piston and rings ?
Thats the thing, I've done my research and not been able to find someone that stocks parts. I may aswell buy 2 bikes and use 1 for spares! |

But see, it might run good out of box but its just partssss argh damn i hate this. I want this bike so badly but I just dont want to have problems with it.
