racing gear where to buy?????

hi all i am wondering when racing track what safty gear is required a helmet is a must i know that but also what else ?? i have seen around teh place people talking about shin and knee guards jackets ect what would u guys recomend as a minimum and where to buy the safty gear things i guess i will be looking for are

1> a helmet

2>shin and knee guards (for those tight corners )

3>a riding jacket

4>anything else i might need or u suggest and places to but the gear from all replys greatly apreciated thanks in advance

Try some elbow pads and gloves. Shin is very precious.
