R1 its attached to a liitle alligator clamp which you clamp on to your HT(spark) lead.Hope this helps.

R1 you don't know what an alligator clamp is or what a HT lead is?An alligator clamp is like a peg which you can clip onto the lead which is connected to your spark plug which comes from your coil. With each spark the tacho registers a pulse which in turn translates it to a RPM.Hope this clears it up

i know what an aligator clamp is and i know what a spark plug is but i just didn't want to make assumptions that the lead was to do with the spark plug, even though i had a feeling that it was.

sweeeeet......
i don't know that i'd make very much use of a tacho, i'm just not that serious in racing. This sounds typical of me to say but maybe you should try Ebay...

R1 the good thing about a tacho is you can usually tell via RPM that the mods you do to your bike have worked. And its almost a must to properly set an adjustable clutch.Spiderman if I didn't already have one I would of bought it.$50 is a good price considering Ozscoot was selling them for almost triple that price new
