NEW GS-57 PERFORMANCE SHOCK. Have a serious question.

I bought the New GS-57 Proformance shock from PBU but i wanted to know if air have to be putted into the shock before installing it to the bike. Do air have to be put in? If so, how much?

I found shock is very sensible like that. I will try to see is there is pressure in.
