what does this have to do with the subject and why would i need to read, quote and reply to this???? (everything else was quoted)
as u go on about so much pressure being in the case if there was so much pressure in the case "as u say" to keep the reeds shut dont u think the reeds would blow through the other way? dont give me this s... that the reed housing would stop it from folding as its a thin boarder that stops it from folding in! if the pressure was so great the reeds would have no chance

Joker, sorry for taking over your thread dude this is the last post from me....
BoneGraft, i will not reply to anymore of the s... running down your chin

the piston covering the ports and atmospheric pressure governs how much air/fuel mixture goes into the engine, the piston covering the intake port is almost(notice i say almost) the same as an intake valve closing at the begining of the compression stroke on a four stroke.

If this dosent make sense its not my fault its the black label

If the reeds are open(even a little bit) during the downstroke of the piston then the air/fuel mixture wouldnt be as presurized as much due to that air/fuel mixture escaping back out the carbie. cant see that as being a good thing.

having a forced induction would allow more air to be forced in to the crankcase when the reeds are open. something like that might work but very marginal and you wouldnt notice real world advantages... you would notice it on a dyno though.

forcing more air/fuel might work against you too... the downstroke has to work harder to compress that extra air and fuel and might negate the extra power from the extra air/fuel.

Im not a 2 stroke expert... crikey I only know the very basics but cooling the fuel and forced air on these little things seems like a waste of time unless someone can prove it all with dyno readings.

Ya cant make water run uphill.
Thats a lovely little picture by the way, did you colour that in yourself?
Bonegraft is absolutely correct the effect of Cold Air Induction is a great idea as Oxygen Molecules are denser and mixed with fuel create a greater combustion, now the prooblem with crank case induction is the crank creates turbulence and atomizes the fuel, the heat in crankcase is too great that the cold air fizzles before it has a chance to get to the combustion chamber.

Hi Guys,

Im new to the forum. my names ryan and i live in adelaide.

I thought id get this topic back on track and also had my 2 cents worth.i bought the stage 2 kit just out of interest because i thought it was crap and i didnt think it would work and because it was cheap. Anyway i was shocked by the fact that it did work!!! It added roughly 7-8 kph to the top end and had slightly better midrange!! I dont know how or why but think thats a pretty good improvement for an easy $40 upgrade.

Ryan
