Will this carb fit my bike? and will it be any good? 19mm!

Hi.

Iam getting loads of money for christmas from my parents so I can buy a new carb (desperetly needed, still leakage problems :cry. Anyway i read that the walbro 16mm and dell orto 16mm carbs are both very good. but then i found a 19mm carby here: http://www.ozminimoto.com.au/product...?id=51&catid=8 I assume the higher the mm the better it is?

When I buy a carb i want to get the absoloute best money can buy. iam not intrested in high performance ones. I would like the absoloute best on the market

Will this carb be any good and will it fit my bike?

Its 167 pounds!

RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
don,t go putting a large bore caby on a near stock engine or you will be asking for tuning problems, a stock engine will only take in the needed air / fuel mix required, an engine that has been ported / timed / piped will ask for more fuel / air = bigger carby.

RD Racing is very right with their info here.
A engine will only need the right amount of fuel/air mix to suit the individual engine.
Putting a larger carby on a standard engine will more than likely only flood the engine.

What sort of bike/engine are you running Haz.
We may be able to point you in the right direction.

Also the 19mm Dell`Orto carby is $167.00 AU = 71.64 pound.
I hope this helps you out.

Iam just running a standard "Chinese Mark 7i 49cc". I have put on a new Spark Plug (NGK BPMR7A(?)) and some carbon fibre racing reeds (Fitted them yesterday, still havnt tested them).

So would it be better to get a new exhuast then?

fitting fibreglass reeds would of been a better choise than carbonfibre especially running a near to stock engine, i would now suggest you do something with the carby, ie; port and re-jet stock one / or 14/14 dellorto or 15mm walbro wt style plus a good pipe.
