I believe I have the same bike, and have had quiet a few discussions with ozscoot about mods for this particular bike. Check out his website. Thats where I have bought my parts from.

Noice

I have an stock R1 pocket bike also and my bike makes that grinding sound when it back off. I was informed that it is just a noice these bike make and that there is nothing wrong with it.

hi there,

i've got an X7 too, but mine's modded

the three performance parts that make the most difference that i recommend are:

rocket key: $20

air filter and v-stack: $30

power pipe: $200

these things make a huge difference in power and if you can't afford all three, then go for the power pipe first, it gives the most power...

hope this helps...

Port and polish the barrel. port match the manifolds. fiddle with the mixture screw, keep the chain well lubed and not too tight. replace the crap wheel bearings with good ones. pull the gearbox apart and wash it in petrol then buy really good anti seize grease and repack the gearbox with the good grease.
