hey im new to pocket bikes
so im wondering would changing the stock exhaust to a better one affect the speed/power by a lot ?
and also 1:25 and 1:50 oil ratios would that make a big difference ?
Thanks

yes...
A fat boy exhaust will give you more top end but not alot down low, or you could get a wave (jetpro) which gives you heaps more down low grunt but wont rev the bike out like a fat boy...
I figure if you use fully synthetic oil mix it 25:1 or semi synthetic 50:1 |

ok, well if you want the bike to have mostly top end/speed, you are going to want a fatboy..
with oil ratios, best to get some motul 800.. about 35 bucks a bottle and you will only need to run 20ml to a litre of petrol, motul 800 will get your bike performing at its best and will look after your motor, leaving you with less money on rebuilds and more on making it go fast.

how big a difference in top end do you get between the jetpro and fatboy anyway? has anyone tested either and noted the difference in RPMs?
i just bought a jetpro for $25 today. still deciding which one to go with. blata 2.5 header / fatboy or jetpro... cause if the bottom end increase of the jetpro is huge you could just run taller gearing and have it go better then the fatboy all round (?)

No matter what exhaust you might get, you can smoke my pipe!
Edit: Sorry folks, too many beers again!

went u mod any engine start with exhaust 1st
the fat boy will give a noticable gane in the top end of the rev range
i recomend when u put the pipe on get a advance timing key at the same time they are usally under $10 and will allow u to run a higher octane fuel
back to the oil and this is (my opinion) 50:1 is probly a little too lean and 25:1 is a little too rich
i like to aim some where in the middle to give clean combustion but to give reliability
i run about 30ml to the litre buy a good quality oil and keep an eye on how your plug colours
an engine running at its best will burn clean

after having my bike tuned in for the fat boy, I put a jet pro one and found that it was reving like the choke was on half way (compared to the fat boy)... but it got there so fast!!! |

go a jet pro and change the gearing.. that will probably be the best bet.
