fatboy vs jetpro

probably been asked but you get like 2000 results when u search the word fatboy, so which is better, fatboys are cheaper but ive heard they crack amd dont fit some bikes.

difference?
price/ performance ratio?
worth the trouble fitting the fatboy?

thanks in advance

Hands down I would say the Jet Pro S-Bend rep pipe. To run the fatboy you will sacrifice fuel capacity for starters by having to run the small tank and from what i've seen all recent fatboy pipes are cracking at the bend in the expansion chamber without fail. Looks like the molds for the presses are getting a bit worn hey!

The difference is the fat boy pipe is a pretty good mid range to top end pipe, It's forced from pressed steel and welded together. The material is probably less then .5mm thick in some places of the expansion chamber and will crack from vibration and stress over time. The header on these is shocking at best with the transtion from the header to the expansion chamber.

The Jetpro is a stainless steel 3 piece pipe. The material used is a a reasonable thickness but given the shape of the pipe it is extremely strong and durable. It'll out last the bike. It's a great low to mid range pipe so in my opinion is perfect for a CAG that isn't set up with a head kit designed for pulling sky high revs. It should make the most of what timing a stock style engine can do. These work wonders for making a bike make some great grunt. Awesome for pulling out of turns but the top end may be a little weak compared to the fatboy. This might not be a concern though because for the extra acceleration achived you'd end up with a higher overall average speed anyway. That fatboys can take a while to wind up and build up a full head of steam.

I say pay the extra. Get the jet pro. At least you won't feel like flushed your money down the toilet. Thats the feeling I get when dealing with Fatboy pipes these days.

All Chinese bikes are different so it's really hit and miss.
It fits on my Samurai full fairing bike but not in the F2. Burt then again nothing likes to fit in a F2 frame :P

i am running a fatboy on my stoc cag and it seems to be a good pipe good top end. yes it is a bugger to fit, i had to cut out the cross member plate under the tank to fit it (i got a west frame) and it has cracked and broken away were the header and expansion chamber joins. i have re welded it and put a heep of exhaust cement on the join cos it leaks heeps.
i got a jet pro on my elete cag and have had not much problems, i har to make a bracket up to hold the back end up and use a heap of exhaust cement on the joins to stop the leaking but its been a good pipe. good for bottom end.

Well arent I lucky, I had a samurai, the Fatboy went straight in. I crack tested all the welds on my Fatboy before I put it in, They were all sweet, I dont know if Wang was on the press that day or Cong had his day off but from what Ive seen, which is only limited to 4 bikes and parts with mates, is that One bikes whole frame can vibrate to pices in 3 rides while exhausts blow out at exp chambers while other hold tight and out last a piston blocks!!!

My Fatboy came with 10mm washes welded on as spring braces while my mates bike has 3mm wire.

I seem to be on the smaller side of the scale though, were Everything I have done to the bike now has has a increase in power/performance. Where I have read thru searches of this forum that "Bolt ons" havent worked.
