Start by getting your angle grinder out and chopping that side stand off.

then get your welder out and weld the engine mount stronger......... better tyres, exhaust, carby, small chain & sprockets, better brake levers, fuel line, fuel filter, spark plug, replace nuts & bolts, upgrade or modify chain guard, upgrade bearings, upgrade throttle....
I'v got a fully worked pro cag sorted for $450 with PMT's and all these mods... might be cheaper lookin for someone else bike already setup and selling yours to cover what you paid for it... thats my advice... or you could just go ahead and do these mods yourself costing you a nice amount, a lot of frustration, a heck of a lot of time & a lot of grey hairs..... Is up to you... at the end of the day people... It'S YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!

Yup, metal chain guard that you can really jam your foot against will be required as soon as you start to pick up a little pace, otherwise your boots heel will wear on the chain very quickly, or you'll just push it right off the sprockets.
On the one hand there is a certain amount of frustration learning to setup your little race bike from scratch... on the other hand, you'll pick valuable experience that you can't buy anywhere.
