have a splitting hangover today so using the lathe is always a bit relaxing

(as stupid as that sounds)
got that ebay 911 motor for $105 so i gotta finish the dreambike rep off now. it doesnt need too many parts. pair of brake cables, rear caliper, kill switch, rear tyre and a new muffler is about it.
i traded my good grc water pump pulley (the one that bolts to the bzm sprockets) to grevs so he didnt have to carve up his awesome stamas and got the DM one from him. that one works as a press fit on the hub of the wheel and its clamped on by the sprocket itself.
unfortunately the one piece banshee rims dont facilitate that style of pulley at all so i had to cut the old knackered vee rubber off and precariously hang the rim in the lathe - and cut the end of the wheel down some to fit the pulley.
1) jigged up
2) nearly done. just a few thou to go
3) all done
with the new rim in the bike though nothing lined up. so the brake bracket (which is a modified banshee one) had to be cut down a little as did the brake caliper bolts so it didnt interfere with the disk.
now its all dead center and everything lines up. so hopefully thatll get rid of the terrible instability the bike used to have (or maybe thats just how 911s are haha)
also got a few anti vibration mounts for the cag too so ill see if those work as everyone says they do!
thats all for now
