Mate, we all ride by the law. Don't ride on the streets. You get caught, it just adds to pocket bikes getting a shitty name.
Okay, we go down to Amcap every second sunday in Welshpool. Private carpark, open space. We were there yesterday, and had a good 15 bikes show up, which was great even with shitty weather.
We also have a Cockburn Go Kart Track meet in 2 weeks from tomorrow. Check out the club website for details: PBAWA Home Page
So, coming up:
Sunday 4th Oct: Amcap in Welshpool
Tuesday 6th Oct: Cockburn International Raceway
Sunday 25th Oct: Speedome in Midland
In regards to Amcap, we have had cops come by twice to my knowledge. Both times, they just want to make sure we are wearing helmets and being safe (you cannot ride without helmets, and protective clothing!). We are super safe and organised, thus the cops just usually hop in the car, burn around the track and head off. Good guys, the ol' police.
Any questions matey, you can always get hold of me at admin@pbawa.com or through private message on these forums. Always looking for more people to ride with |

We have a number of car parks we hit, plus an airfield. It's easier if you get the permission to use a car park before you start, but I'll admit that at least one of our regulars was in use before that... the owner came into his work, found us there, and gave us permission when we asked.
Stay away from shopping centre carparks... they're open all the time essentially... stick with businesses that only operate Mon-Fri. You'll get turned down 99 times out of 100, but eventually someone will let you use their one.
Don't forget, it's not what, but who you know... think about who you know that's a manager or owner of a business with a suitable car park... And get onto a kart track if you can, things like kerbing etc will hurt or possibly kill you if you strike it at speed.
Also, if the police come to rumble you, or security guards, treat them with repsect, give them no attitude, they don't actually want to bust you and deal with the paperwork that goes with it, so don't give them a reason to.

you see lukie im not really into racing it or anything...i just want to use it to have a little bit of fun for a bit then put it away
not really competitve and wanting to go around a track but from what imdying said im gonna start looking for some good carparks to ride at....i no dads work has one so i might take it there or just cruise around in my car for a bit untill i find a good carpark that isnt near houses or open that way when i am riding it wont piss anyone off
and i wont give cops attitude either, dont want them to take my bike away lol
so ill play it safe and find a good carpark
what ever happened to the "big track" in morley i think it was with the go karts and all
i no they shut down but is that track now abanded or has someone built over it?

We don't do any races. So you can come down, meet a bunch of people, have a ride, and have some fun. All good times. Coming to our carpark rides will probably be the best for you, as Cockburn is a big track.
The Big Track was closed down, and bulldozed to allow trucks to park on top of it. A good use of a go-kart track, if there ever was one.

Oh, isn't Washington a bit far away from Western Australia?
You might want to have a look at some the American pocket bike sites for places to ride.
This is an Australian site.
Good luck!
