Test and Tune Day.. 6th Feb, 10..

We were threatened with showers for the day but only had about 20 drops fall all day long, it certainly turned out to be a very sunny, hot and humid day..

It was easy to find a spot in pit lane for a change with alot of riders being unable to make it out for this re-scheduled day..

Was excellent to see Jnr road racers Luke Martin and Sarah Fairbrother come out for a play.. I certainly had fun chasing down young Luke and then following him around the circuit.. Young Sarah improved greatly as the day progressed and proved challenging for some older riders to get passed..

The medic was required to attend to 1 downed rider when his chain let go.. He bumped his head fairly hard and after missing 1 session he got right back into it..

The new timing system is working excellently, times from racing of every single rider will be posted at the end of each rnd.. From now on all riders who do not have their own battery mounted to their bike/s will not be lap scored, in turn they will not be pointed on any of the racing but still welcome to go out.. Riders can also purchase their very own transponders if they wish or continue to use the ones provided and swap with other riders all day long.. Any rider who damages a transponder will be required to pay for it..

Next race meet is the 14th Feb and will be rnd 1 of the 'Queensland Raceway Series', this championship is spread throughout the entire year..

See you all next week..

This just in..

Quest newspapers will be at the track (yet again) this Friday the 12th of Feb..

They want riders of all differing catagories for the shoot.. (ie: Minimoto, Minitard, Scooter, Postie Bike, Supermoto and Motolite riders, as we promote all forms of bikes)

Story will be run in next weeks paper..

Lakeside has also undertaken yet another Council Community Program.. On the back of last year's 'Adventure Womens' program, we are now a part of the 'Adrenaline' Program, it is for physical activities for men 18+..

Adrenaline - Physical Activities for Men | Moreton Bay Regional Council
